NEW: COLOUR ALLERGY TESTING WITH COLOURSTART
At KIKU Salon we offer two options for colour allergy testing. Our preferred option is using Colourstart Passport, alternatively you could book in for a traditional “patch test”.
Before your first colour service with KIKU Salon you must make arrangements for a colour allergy test. Choosing between Colourstart and a traditional allergy patch test for assessing a reaction to hair colour depends on a few factors.
If you decide Colourstart is not for you we will need to perform an Allergy Alert Test every six months. You will also need a new colour allergy alert test if you have coloured your hair at home or at another salon since your last colour appointment.
STEP 1: DOWNLOAD THE APP
IMPORTANT: You must set up your Colourstart Digital Passport before applying your Colourstart Patch Test.
Please complete all steps at least 5 days before your next colour appointment. PS: Colourstart takes 4 days to complete.
STEP 2: REGISTER YOUR DETAILS
Once you have opened Passport, simply follow the on-screen instructions:
- Fill out your details to set up your profile.
- Find and Select to share your Colourstart Passport with KIKU Salon
- Answer a short ‘screening questionnaire’ to check it is OK for you to use Colourstart.
STEP 3: FOLLOW THE INSTRUCTIONS
- Follow Passport’s step-by-step process to use your Patch Test and record the results.
- Apply and remove the Patch when Passport tells you to and make sure you upload images when prompted.
- Finish by confirming whether you’ve experienced a reaction to your Colourstart Patch Test.
STEP 4: YOUR RESULTS
NO REACTION?
SAY HELLO TO COLOUR FREEDOM
If you don’t experience a reaction to the Test you’ll get a green ‘OK to colour hair’ Passport.
We at KIKU Salon will accept this instead of a traditional standard test, even for walk-in colour and repeat colourings!
