KIKU Salon Appointment Booking Policy
Please take a moment to review KIKU Salons’ Appointment Booking & Cancellations Policy.
Appointment Deposit
When you book an appointment at KIKU Salon, we ask you to pay a small deposit to secure your booking.
The deposit will be used against your final bill. Deposits are refundable or transferable as long as we receive 48 hours’ notice to cancel or rearrange your appointment.
If we receive less than 48 hours’ notice, we may need to retain your deposit to account for the time reserved for you, as we’re often unable to fill appointments at short notice
Appointments are highly valued by the team at KIKU Salon, and each one is reserved specifically for you. While we understand that plans can change, we kindly request at least 48 hours’ notice if you need to reschedule or cancel. This allows us to offer your appointment time to someone on our waiting list who would love the opportunity to visit.

Allergy Testing
KIKU Salon is a colour responsible salon, your safety is of upmost importance to us.
Before your first colour service with KIKU Salon, you must make arrangements for a colour allergy test. If you opt for traditional Allergy Alert Testing over Colourstart you will also need a new colour allergy test if you have coloured your hair at home, if it has been more than six months since your last hair colour appointment, or if you have had your hair coloured at another salon since your last colour appointment.
Allergy Alert Tests must take place at least 48 hours before a colour service appointment. We respectfully request that you remain in salon whilst dye stuff is in contact with your skin. The appointment for an Allergy Alert Test takes approximately one hour.
If an allergy test is not performed in good time, your appointment will be cancelled, this is for your own safety.
Allergy to hair colourants can be fatal.
Please be aware that you may forfeit your booking deposit if you do not visit us to have an allergy test performed in good time.
Cancellations
Our cancellation policy is strictly 48 hours notice.
If we don’t receive 48 hours’ notice to cancel your appointment then we may miss the opportunity to fill the space, and guests on our waiting list miss the chance to come and see us for some well deserved pampering.
Should we not receive 48 hours’ notice to cancel your appointment, we reserve the right to withhold your booking deposit and/or charge a late cancellation fee equal to 50% of the original appointment value.
Late Arrivals
Sometimes things happen outside of our control; traffic, the weather, or being unable to find a parking space can make you late for an appointment.
Please give the salon a call if you think you may be late. Usually we can honour your appointment up to 15 minutes after it’s scheduled start time. If you are more than 15 minutes late we may have to cancel your appointment, we’re really sorry but we can’t impact other clients appointments because of late arrival.
When we cancel an appointment due to late arrival you will forfeit your booking deposit.
No Shows
If you fail to attend an appointment you will be asked to pay for the appointment that you missed.
You will also be asked to pre pay, for future appointment bookings.
We completely understand that things can happen at the last minute, and we can assure you that we will be sympathetic if you need to cancel or rearrange an appointment.
All we ask for is 48 hours’ notice. Should you fail to attend an appointment that has been prepaid, or notify us of a cancellation with less than 48 hours’ notice, you will forfeit your booking deposit.
